Publisher review:nMod nbody toolkit is a collection of tools designed to enable researchers to perform experiments using a particle-particle nBody model nMod nBody Modelling Toolkit provides everything required to run experiments in the field of nBody modelling. This means modelling planetary motion, asteroid/comet motion, or spacecraft. You can also model hypothetical planetary systems, small galaxy systems/collisions, or even a puff of dust in space. If it involves objects interacting gravitationally, nMod can handle it. The Particle Particle method is the most accurate of all nBody modelling methods. This accuracy comes with a price, it's also the mostis accuraionally expensive. This is because the effect of every particle in the system on every other particle is calculated each time the model is stepped forward. Other, faster methods exist, but they are less accurate. The toolkit contains a particle-particle model, nMod, an opengl viewer, nBview to display the resulting time series data, A simple Globular Cluster generator, puc, and a small utility to render nMod output files human readable, nbo2txt. More utilities are planned. nMod also contains some functions to assist in Spacecraft flight simulation. Who should use the nMod Toolkit? It can, and has been used for university level research and as a hobbyists tool.
nMod 0.5a is a C/C++ script for Miscellaneous scripts design by Carey Pridgeon.
It runs on following operating system: Linux / BSD.
